Thanks for the tips, Loki... so you're guessing around $51k for MSRP with no other options? I wanted the Xenon, cloth, Harmon, and all-weather pkg. making mine around $52.5k. Any chance of getting one at MSRP? I'm sure all the same bull applies as does with the Stook. We knew someone at a Honda dealership, making that one easy - Don't know any Bimmer people.

Once again, thanks for all the tips, Loki... You sure do have good taste in cars (and bikes!) I'd be selling my trusty Corrado to help finance this deal if it happens. Which car are you going to relinquish?

I kind of see some Z9 (yes 9, concept car) in the front end. I like it. All except for those lame ass tail lights. BMW just can't pull off that look IMO.

I'm not so sure the design of this looks much better...the tail end looks almost the same, and those taillights are hideous!

Definitely a big improvement. A lot of Stook in those front mudguard (fender) lines but fer christ sakes get rid of the sharks jaws ehind the wheel arches.

Those roll bars are absurdly styled and look like they have an erection! LOL

So I am the only one that thinks it looks hideous? It's gone from bad to worse IMO. Clunky and uncreative. Those headlights came right off a TT.

First off I liked it. The more I look at the picture The less I do. I'd just take an M3 and be done with it

I like the "Quick Starter - Accelerometer" special function with the SMG...

Select the mode, DSC (traction control) is deactivated. Hold the lever forward, rev the engine, drop the lever for smoky burn-outs.

No clutch side-stepping at 7,000 RPM required!

I know, PFB... just like an F1 car's start button, you hold the lever and mash your foot to the floor. The engine goes to a predetermined RPM and stays there. Just release the lever and then modulate the throttle to manage wheelspin - the computer drops the clutch for you! That's exactly how the F1 guys do it for the standing starts (at least until traction control.)

I think it's pretty amazing that BMW is offering such technology in a somewhat affordable car. Pretty cool stuff. That's why I'm a gonna have to get one!
