Where are you from?

Stockton is not a great area IMHO.

If you are moving away from home to go to school, might as well pick something close to the beach or SF or something...

I'm from Fremont...Well actually we recently purchased a house in Livermore, but they don't start construction till next year...Any ways, I'm going to be a senior this year and I'm a average student..So basically, Uop is a school in reach (I guess) and so are the state ones...I can apply to UC's however I will have to attend a jc first...My parents were saying the same thing as you...Stockton= so I guess I'll just go to a jc and transfer to Davis or something........Help appreciated. Thanks Jason and y0heezee

JC is fine and saves a lot of money. Just try to find one on quarters so it doesn't take forever to transfer. LPC is nice and I live across the streat from it but, it is on semesters... Cal is drivable/BARTable from Livermore...

I went from LPC to CSUH. It's a decent school but if I realized how much good grades mattered when I was 18-20, I probably would have gone to Cal.

I met a few people from there and they're really nice/laid back. I'm also planning on transferring to UOP (I currently go to a JC) for a Pharmacy degree. I agree with most of the people that say Stockton sucks..but SF is only about an hour or so away
