i know it can be done.

the people that know how to do it don't tell you because that's how they make their livings.

you ship it to them, pay a fee, and they unlock it.

yea, it is safe.

I see you're in So Cal, there's a place in Westminster that unlocks them for $10....takes about 15 minutes...

Wait until the battery dies then wait a day it'll use all the information in it. At least my old treo would do that and the emergency battery wouldn't hold the information for very long. It used to piss me off because I would have to then resync

Oh I just remembered. hit the reset button while pushing the down or up page button. It would hard reset removing all the information and restoring it to out of box condition. Honestly it's been a while I now have a different phone.

the 650 does not lose memory when the battery dies. It's the first Palm with nonvolatile ram.

Crap, that sucks, wait no that's actually good.

A hard reset should still do the trick no?
