Default update on my stolen m3 situation

After going back and forth, Allstate compensated me with the replacement value of the car.

To make a long story short, I cancelled my order with a BMW dealership in West Palm Beach for a Steel Grey yesterday and decided to order a Imola Red with nav and SMG from a Miami dealership. What made me change my mind was that I finally got to see Imola Red in person and I fell in love with it. And its my girlfriend's favorite color too! I will be paying MSRP plus a 2K markup that I couldn't get around. I will have to wait 10 to 12 months and it will be worth it. Especially the SMG.

Nice color choice there, mav. I have seen a convertible Imola Red around town and boy does that look sweet!

Too bad about the wait...just gotta drive the S2000, eh?

red is a good choice, very sweet looking... you just have to know how to take care of the pain though

Hey mav, Did you look into Lauderdale Imports in downtown Ft. Lauderdale? Several of my friends ordered M3's from them and they don't charge over MSRP plus I was just down there and one of the sales reps said the waiting list was very short.

Yes, I called them up and they had an Imola Red coming in for MRSP but no SMG option. Other than that, they told me that the wait list is 6 to 12 months.

The dealer that I ordered it from told me to expect 10 to 12 months, but it could arrive in 6 months. I rather have my expectations set correctly...

And Loki - I ENVY YOU. You're killing man with these pics...

Great choice on the color. Loki had to wait quite a while for his car too. I remember way back when he started posting about it.

So, what areyou driving in the meantime??? Did you end up getting a beater car??

Glad the insurance company came through for you.

I like the white over red 2002 SMG cab (with hardtop) shown on this link.

Have you thought about taking delivery in Germany and taking your new toy for a joy ride around Europe before it's put on a boat? I'll be doing that when I buy my next bimmer.
