Additionally kick your boyfriend to the curb and give Scot a call.

 

Take it back, have him fix or replace it. Simple as that. The body shop screwed up, and they should fix their mistake. Don't eat the cost or labor of doing this yourself, it's not your fault, and you shouldn't have to accept crappy work.
