UPDATED: got in a fight with a guard rail.
Oh wow, a SHOP did that? I figured you tried spraying it yourself... no respectable auto body shop would even mask those, they'd remove them... it'd probably take less time to remove them (or did they not even pull the bumper skin off?)

CUnit... He obviously doesn't have as much love and appreciation for a car like you do.
Don't be ashamed to take it back and get it done RIGHT and the way YOU want it.. you are the one forking the money over for the repairs not your bf.

why would you ever spend your money for a service, not be satisfied with the finished service, but accept it anyway with no complaint, utlimatum, or addendum? and then, adding insult to injury, you contemplate fixing it yourself or worst, selling the car? wow. they say a closed mouth never gets fed, so you know what you need to do. besides, if you let them punk you this time, in similiar situations you'll find it easier and easier to allow others to do the same shit.
oh yeah, since when do early twenty-something year olds consistently offer prudent advice?
already.
scot you're funniest dumbass on this board.
this whole situation is more upsetting than when i CRASHED the car... seriously. my car looks like complete and utter TRASH. my boyfriend REFUSES to give me the guy's number yesterday. he insists that all it needs is to be taped off and sprayed with some flat black paint. i was so desperate to find some sort of solution that i consented to letting him take the car while i was at work so he could "fix" it.
i come out after work... from far away it looked okay. everything that shouldn't have been red, wasn't red anymore. but as i got up closer it became PAINFULLY obvious that my wonderful boyfriend had just spray-painted the car i paid $19-grand for... and $250/month in insurance to own.
worst of all, he didn't even use a flat paint like he had told me, so it's all glossy. ohhhh my god, it looks soooo wrong.
i got a chance to look at it in the sunlight yesterday... it doesn't match AT ALL, and there's crazy orange peel all over the mouth of the bumper. &%^*#$%&#&* ! and i don't have anyone to blame but myself because i should have told my idiot of a boyfriend to fv<k off when i picked the car up and then refused to pay until the guy agreed to fix it. hindsight is a bitch...
my parents saw it yesterday... my parents are completely clueless about cars... but they even said that it was unacceptable and looked like trash. i was really upset so they told me that they'd pay to fix it. i HATE relying on my parents to pay for things for me... but i'm just so desperate. i'm taking it into a family friend who has been fixing my parent's cars for years to see what he can do to try to fix it. i didn't go to him in the first place cause he's really really expensive, but for a good reason.
hopefully i'll get it straightened out.
sorry... long, whiny post. i really don't have anyone to blame but myself, but i just need to vent.
