urban legend? or real story?
somewhere near indiana state college,
people in this really small town kept hearing the strangest
noise every night, around 3 a.m.
it was this 1 sec. loud, whiny noise.
people called FBI, thinking that it was U.F.O. (!)
FBI agents actually came to the town, set up little "hide outs"
every where, and finally caught the cause on this straight
2-way local st.
it was a black diablo, going 210 mph, without any light on.
the driver was wearing a night vision gogle, with
tons of cocaine and heroine in the passanger seat and
trunk.
------> my friend at indiana states told me this, but do you think it's an urban myth?

I've heard the same story about a mysterious Diablo going between Houston, Austin, San Antone and Brownsville as well. Urban Legend? Probably so. But with every legend, and every little tale, there's gotta be a inkling of truth in it, dont you think? In this case - maybe a Diablo exists that is black that might have had his lights off for a given period of time - say, during the day or in a parking lot? Who knows.

Definitely an urban legend. The one I heard was that there was a black Diablo that turned off its headlights as well but the driver was wearing nightvision goggles. He was travelling over 200mph and had lots of police cars chasing after it. They had to call in the national guard on a helicopter to finally catch it.

im not sure about the ufo part, but my friends dad in georgia has one and hes done it before( i can vouche as i was there) black diablo, used electrical tape and coverd up all posilb light sources, got night vision, went to a road with no lights, on a new moon, we stood there with radar gun, it went as follows, WWWWWEEEEEOOMMMMMMMMM(200MPH flashes on the gun) it was neat( he wasnt caught btw)
Man these stories circulate for a long time. I remember hearing about it in Seattle, circa 1990.
Who knows if it is true... it only takes one guy with a black diablo, a pair of ears, and matching pair of stones to turn urban legend into true story. Becomes a chicken vs. egg argument.
Reminds me of the 1987 Charlie Sheen classic, "The Wraith".
