This is reminiscent of stories I had heard in the early 1980's about the "Bonsai Runners" in California. They would run from the bay area to LA as fast as they possibly could late at night. There was rumor of night vision of some sort and they usually drove exotics. The only thing missing there was the drugs.

 

I might be missing something here, but if you had lots of drugs in your car, wouldn't you try to be as inconspicuous as possible?

Driving at some ludicrous speed in an exotic car, with no lights on and some weird electronic goggles strapped on your face just might draw some attention your way..?? Whats wrong with, say, a nice clean 98 Accord with 'baby on board' sticker?

Not as much fun, but you could certainly haul much more drugs without worrying at all about getting caught. (buy a few more Diablos perhaps).

 

I think it's true, I do the same in the S2K, but it doesn't make a whinning sound. J/K LOL
