Smart move, absolutely no good can come of it. We have a bajillion sources that say he's in fact dead, the last thing we need to do is plaster his mangled corpse across the internet.

His daughter watched our men blow his brains out. The arab world knows he's dead. He's dead. The world including us, isn't staging the death of what is (or was) probably the most evilly capable person on this planet. Doubt all you want, but all it just shows is that you are in fact, from Florida. Pakistan wouldn't be trying so hard to eliminate the heat they're getting for having him a half hour from the capital, in a regular house, inviting people over for religious dinners if it wasn't infact such an embarrassing display of intelligence failure.

Hard to say, it does sound like the beginning of a conspiracy theory. He could have been dead a long time, picture or no. Now they are changing the details of the operation, Obama is the devil and will do anything to change his image.

As soon as the news came out people were jumping up and down yelling hows its BS and the president did it to improve his chances for reelection.

 

I agree. How would we feel if someone posted a picture of one of our fallen soldiers or if something happened to our President and someone posted a picture of that? How did we feel when video was posted of prisoners being decapitated? It's disrespectful, vulgar and serves no positive purpose. We should strive to be above that as a civilized nation.

And honestly, who here is enough of an expert on bin Laden to determine if a picture of a guy with an exploded head is the real bin Laden? I'd say no one. Who here is enough of an expert to be able to look at a photograph and determine if he was killed last weekend or 10 years ago? I'd say no one. Anyone who is going to cry foul is still going to cry foul after a photograph is released. They're conspiracy theorists, they don't trust the government, they hate Obama, or whatever.

Just like the "birthers"... Obama provided an official document showing that he was born in Hawaii, but they still continued to try to disparage him and even that document wasn't enough to get them to shut up. Does anyone really think that showing a pic of a guy with his head blown off is going to shut up the people claiming that bin Laden isn't dead (or at least wasn't killed in last weekend's raid)? I'd wager against that.
