You roll your eyes, that's cool, but arguments go much easier when you express how you feel with words.

Am I wrong in what I said? What about a fighter pilot? I'm sure they have a blast up in the sky, flying their missions, dropping their ordinance. Is it wrong for them to say they're having fun with it too? The only difference is the manner in which they're having fun. To discredit a group of soldiers because of ones comment about having fun just shows density on your part.

Or was there something else in this video that would cause you to think the way you did? I don't believe I've seen the one you're talking about.
Typical...
If you think one should experience joy bombing the shit of a people that had absolutely NOTHING to do with disturbing YOUR freedom and YOUR right to live then you are truely TRUELY sick in the head.

Why are you so blind and ignorant? More importantly, why are they so many of you like that?

Discredit a group of soldiers because they are having FUN? R U Seriously Mentally ILL or simply RETARDED? HAVING FUN? Killing people is FUN? They are destroying an entire nation for GREED and they should be having FUN?

FUN IN KILLING? How sick can you be?

Actually I was ignoring Honda's. We see the world differently, which is fine, but he can't seem to engage in discourcse without calling someone an ing this, or an a-hole, or douchebag or whatever. Disagree with people, fine, but just because someone has a different point of view does not make them an idiot.

I work in politics, and I actually work for both parties on several different issues. Many times I agree with them, many times I think they are crazy (both sides depending on the issue), but I have great respect for their opinions because they are gained through their own personal experiences which are different from mine.

I find the one's who think that everyone that disagrees with them is a complete moron are generally zealots and the worst kind of people to spend time with, because they pretty much hate everything.............

How would you feel if I bombed your home, killed your relatives and a few of your siblings because my country leader told me to do so...and when someone asked me how I felt about it, I respond..

"Man, with all our cool weapons, it's pretty fun!"

Until then, continue to sleep tight with your eyes of course, completely closed shut.

Maybe you're not the best at reading comprehension, let me try to make it a little simpler for you.

As I stated above, I highly doubt the soldier was commenting about the big picture (You know, the killing, the effects it will have in the future, etc...), but more about how he's living out what he probably (and many other children all over the world) used to pretend to do when they were younger. You know, playing with G.I. Joes, or playing "guns" with your friends around the neighborhood. It's fun. He's doing the real thing. And the same with the fighet pilots.

Regardless of the situation, if someone is shooting at me with intention to kill and I get him first, damn right I'm going to be happy about it. So, would I be sick if I'm happy I survived? Surviving involved having to kill someone else. Am I sick for it?

You also mentioned discrediting a -group- of soldiers because -they- are having fun, but you said it was one soldier who said this. Why do you think he is speaking for all of the soldiers? I know people over there who aren't having fun. Who hate it and want to come back. You're calling them ignorant as well.

I have a strong feeling if an IQ test was performed on these soldiers, they would be ranked one notch below that of a child who just graduated kindergarten.
I have several friends in the armed forces and they are very intelligent - you certainly can't judge the whole force because someone was interviewed who might swim in the shallow end of the gene pool!
People join the armed forces for a variety of reasons, To some this is the best life they have ever known and to others it is the Honarable thing to do - We live in a great country and you enjoy the freedoms these soldiers are fighting for. I personally am glad these soldiers are "GUNG - HO" I don't think an armed force would be terribly effective if they didn't believe in what they were doing - To these soldiers this is the "Big Game" and this is what they have trained for.
I respect them for putting their lives on the line and even though I question the purpose of this particular war These soldiers have my full support - this in not their war, it belongs to the politicians

Look, when we say that we're having fun or are excited to go in and raid a town - it is NOT because of the killing. We hate killing just like everyone else (okay, there are a few psychotic exceptions).

We get excited because this is what we do. This is what we train for. This is what we've spent weeks and weeks of painful training for. Damn right we are excited.

Would you rather see us going into a mission with our heads down moping about how someone might get hurt and how immoral all of it is? I didn't think so. It's really easy for you guys to say shit about our soldiers from the comfort of your homes isn't it? I understand the frustration over the war and the whole situation, but the soldiers aren't a scapegoat, don't treat them that way.

606 - that is the second time you've made an absurd comment (the jock one) about our armed forces. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...dpost&p=4527580 If you don't like us - GET THE OUT OF OUR COUNTRY.

S2000_rider - you have no sense of context. I'd tell you to get out of my country too...but you already are

It is the Soldier, not the Reporter,
who has given us Freedom of the Press.

It is the Soldier, not the Poet,
who has given us Freedom of Speech.

It is the Soldier, not the Lawyer,
who has given us the Right to a Free Trial.

It is the Soldier, who salutes the Flag,
who serves under the Flag,
and whose coffin is draped by the Flag,
who allows the Protestor to burn the Flag.
