UPS doesn't leave the package at your doorstep unless you sign some special form or tell them to leave it there. They retry 2 more times and then they just hold it at their sort facility for you to pick it up.
UPS will only 'Driver Release" packages at residential stops where they believe it is safe. if the company feels that it is unsafe to DR (compton, no joke) then they will require a signature.

Some of the comments I see here about how this industry practices is just sad. Stealing peoples packages, not delivering, not getting signatures. Blah ... Just sad, the industry needs an overhaul.

If it is no better than Airbourne Express was, it isn't worth shit. I had Aribourne Express looking for my house for 2 days once, and I finally had to meet the guy at a convience store to pick up my package.

It sounds like someone stole your shit!

I have shipped / received probably 1000 items (or more) through the USPS and have only had one item supposedly lost.... i think the guy bullshitted me to get me to send him something for free.....

I had had $3000 of wheels piled up at my garage with no signature or even a doorbell ring from UPS.... one time I found the wheels the next morning since I never went back out in the afternoon.

do you live in a residential neighborhood? and can you see your garage from yhe street? unless the SHIPPER says to require a signature, UPS will not ask for one unless you live in a high risk aread (ie compton or apartment complex)

you said even you didnt know the rims were there, i would think that no one driving by your house would know either. It usually says where the driver left it when you track it on ups.com
