I finally made it through the whole article.

I was listening to Bright Lights by Matchbox 20 as I wrapped up the article. VERY emotional. My heart goes out to the victims and families of the victims of this horrific crime.

Her cell of sex traffickers offered three age ranges of sex partners -- toddler to age 4, 5 to 12 and teens -- as well as what she called a ''damage group.'' ''In the damage group they can hit you or do anything they wanted,'' she explained. ''Though sex always hurts when you are little, so it's always violent, everything was much more painful once you were placed in the damage group.

Beyond words, this is.

I meant statistically, those who view the site. not specifically S2000 owners, or enthusiasts signed up here. but there are tens-of-thousands of people who visit this site worldwide, so I meant statistically, I am speaking to those guys.

sorry I should have been clearer, but when I wrote it I was a bit on the emotional side.

EDIT: I think it's worth signing up just to see that horrific picture of the girl standing terrified on the street, surrounded by potential buyers. I heard the same story on NPR, and the story behind that picture is crushing and obscene beyond words.

For those who don't take one source at face value, here is a rebuttal article:

http://slate.msn.com//?id=2094414&

Is this happening elsewhere in the world? Yes, for a real first hand look with actual evidence, last weekend's episode of Dateline NBC (I think) was all about this trade in Cambodia. Disgusting. Video of the actual people doing this, and their pathetic clients.

Is this happening to "tens of thousands of girls" within the United States? Give me a break. The Slate article does a great job of dissecting some of the shoddy research and vague assumptions made in the original article.

given the traffic of this site, and the size of that "industry", I know beyond a shadow-of-a-doubt that some of you reading this are some of the "clients" of these girls, whether you seek them out across the border or here in the US. read the article and see exactly what kind of business you support when you go out to just "have some fun".
And making such accusations based on your grade-school statistics? VERY VERY uncool, especially considering the subject matter.

The rebuttal had no facts either.. its like saying my dad can beat up your dad.

10000 or 1 its still wrong and turning a blind to this, thinking this can't happen in my neighborhood does nothing to help the cause.

somewhat ironic how you seem to have taken this personally, secretvampire.
Let's not get juvenille.

I agree it is an extremely important and sad issue, I just don't recommend you point people to what seems to be a somewhat shoddy piece of journalism to highlight it. It tends to discredit the cause. I personally would like to see the United States get more involved in pressuring foreign (especially many of the poorer Asian countries) governments to crack down on this practice, and moreso, to go after the Americans that are obviously travelling there for such a disgusting purpose. I understand the former is difficult since many of these governments are corrupt and apathetic, but certainly the purchasing side can be aggressively stopped.

too moved for words, this is a sick world.

gentlemen of S2ki... there are so many things in this world that need changing. But as individuals we are powerless. With documentation like this circulating i can only hope that human interest gets people to read the whole story and understand that one person at a time, everything can change.
