The Slate writer's criticisms are valid. So is saying "10000 or 1 its still wrong."

But before we get worked up over this maybe we should learn more about ongoing genocide around the world. To me that rates a little higher on the "horrific scale." This story probably just appeals to some of you with white-knight-syndrome more than hearing about people dying in Africa or Asia. And you can do just as much, or as little, to stop genocide around the world.

self proclaimed victim of said white knight syndrome. That said, so are most of my peers, so i'll pose a question, how could my generations view on world horror become more deversified?

I only got to page 2. I was sick to my stomach.
I couldn't finish it.

That is absolutely, for lack of a better word, disgusting. I visited Moscow a few years ago and the hotel I was staying at, it was customary to have prostitute linger in the lobby for the guests to choose from. Some of these women are sooo young.

I just had a thought while reading this article. I wonder if children who are abducted share the same fate of being whisked to other countries to be sex slaves. God, what a horrible thought! But it is quite possible.

I'm sure that this country would benifit from more people acknowledging what 94NSX has said. It is just as possible though less probable, and we've all learned that whatever is either possible or probable at all, could be happening in our own back yard...

Realistically, you have nothing to worry about. The slave trade is generally centered on poor individuals from poor countries. It
