The city is relatively small. Most of the things to see there are in Old City and since you'll be staying at Fairmont Chateau Frontenac, you should be able to do all the sightseeing by foot. However, if it does get too hot, I would suggest doing the bus tour. It's air conditioned and the narration was very informative and entertaining.

The cirque du soleil show is great and within walking distance of your hotel.

Check out the restaurant at the Loews hotel on the 26th floor. It overlooks the city and slowly revolves while you dine. Quite an experience. Plus the food was also very good.

Go see the changing of the guard ceremony at the Citadel. They have it every morning at 10 am.

Also, be prepared to see a LOT of s2ks. I thought there was a meet happening or something. I saw at least 10 within 2 days.
