Vonage IPO - LOL
I kinda figured that if I had the opportunity to "get in" on the IPO, people more knowledgeable than myself had passed on it.
That's always a good thing to consider with IPOs. If the financial institutions and the underwriters don't want all of the shares, don't opt in.
All in all, offering shares to customers was a good move from their perspective. The IPO was successful.
Note: An IPO is successful if the shares are all sold (and it looks like they were). An IPO that has shares double in the first day of trading is a FAILURE. That doubling represents additional funds the firm COULD have raised, but didnt'.
