Want to apologize...
I just want to apologize to everyone on the forum for my post in Off-Topic, "Abusive Ebay User". I realize that it was very immature and stupid. It's no excuse, but I was having a pretty bad day, and I guess I took it out on someone else. I thought I would feel better if I tried to make a joke out of it which obviously made it worse. It also made me realize what an ass I am sometimes.
I enjoy the fact that this forum is more "grown up" than some of the other forums out there, and I don't want to ruin that image. I'm not the completely irresponsible person that my post made me out to be. I'm a hard worker, and despite what some of you might think, I'm a courteous and responsible driver. I hope everyone can look past my lack of discretion and common courtesy. Thanks.

i just read the other thread and i think it's really inappropriate for the seller to be charging an extra 3% cuz the buyer is using paypal. if she does not want to take the 3% hit then she should just specify from the getgo that she will not accept paypal. the 3% is basically a cost to her for doing business. obviously, if she refuses to accept paypal, then the number of potential buyers/bidders will be less. thus the 3% is a cost that will allow a greater chance of selling her products. it's basically the same with credit cards and retail stores. stores do not HAVE to accept credit cards, but by doing so, they greatly increase the volume of potential consumers and the volume of products/services sold.
The 3% charge isn't common on eBay, but if you sell things on sites such as audiogon of head-fi, you'll see it. Completely up to the seller on whether they care about the 3% transaction fee. I've never charged it, but I also only eBay to get rid of stuff I don't need, not to make money.
for the apology. Like someone said, it's internet drama, everyone will have forgotten about it within a week.

A few years ago, I was just laid off when I replied to a broadcast email to "all". I was angry and short with my reply. Little did I know that the broadcast reply went out to many more people than I had intended. I was so wrapped up in my self-pain that I wrote some nasty things to the original reply because I was angry at... well everything. I made a mistake. I apologized too.
I swore from that day on that I would be more considerate of the who might see my email and had to reevaluate my actions using email as a communication tool. Consider the audience - know the audience... and most of all, have grace.
Dude, we all make mistakes. This will pass. Live and learn.
Good to see you pony up and apologize.
Life is a journey. Keep learning.
