The war has begun...
Like I said before all media/news sources are biased towards its own country because it provides the viewpoint of its people. American news and media will always provide the viewpoint of us Americans. BBC provides the viewpoint of the UK, etc. I think its only natural. Then some, like the Iraqi media, is government controlled and will say what the government will want it to say, which I quickly dismiss. This is why when you refer to the "other side", I dismiss it.

Sorry, thought I'd bring some levity. Now back to your regularly scheduled bickering.
don't forget mexico probably wouldn't mind having california and texas back. And I want my lolly.
Ok, now seriously I want to dump some thoughts out here. I'm not saying I'm right and you're wrong, I'm not saying I'm wrong and you're right, just doing a data dump ok? Please don't get defensive or hostile based on my remarks, I'm here to learn not argue. We all know there's enough of that going on offline.
Who killed more during the last gulf war, the U.S. who obliterated the military creating the highway of death (absolutely sickening to see photos of), or saddam killing iraqis who tried to rebel and take over while his regime was weak (equally sickening to see)? Fighting is wrong no matter what, but what do you do to a guy that kills his own citizens? Who, as his first step as dictator of the country, sent some of his closest and lifelong friends to be executed? Who built a regime modeled after his idol, Stalin? The Iraqi people are not the problem, obviously. They have the potential to be a great people. IMHO the U.S. had no business getting involved in the politics of that country. Imagine what would've happened if the CIA didn't support Saddam when he was exiled after his failed assasination attempt on the then leader of Iraq in the 60s? But we thought he'd be cool. He'd bring change that we could control. HA! You can't control a madman...that's what we're learning about George Bush. You know why the world is protesting? Not really because we're invading iraq to overthrow a brutal dictator, but because Bush is abusing the power of the greatest nation in the world. Why do people hate bush? he's not a people person. He's a scared little monkey and he's basing all his actions on fear, you can see it in everything he's done since he was elected. He is A Bad Thing. He knows he has the power to do what he wants, but he's failing where Clinton suceeded. He was well liked because he and his administration traveled around the world to party with the other guys. Keep things light. Everything bush says is black and white, yes or no, with me or against me, yadda yadda yadda. Think if that's how you were to act in your job. You'd be fired after day one. I can't wait for the next election. There is a good way to change things in Iraq and make the world a better place for the people living there...but Bush is going about it all wrong. I doubt he could EVER do it the right way. He just doesn't have the right personality. I support our troops over there, I want them to come home safe. I support the Iraqi people, and want them to survive and achieve their full potential. George Bush may be able to find peace in the middle east, but by all means he cannot do it peacefully and I'm embarassed to have that fool in office as the leader of the greatest nation in the world.
