You're entitled to your own opinion. Good luck if North Korean Missles hit Canada and who will be there to save you then?

Since this thread hasn't been closed yet, I have to chime in with my two cents.

9-11-01: 15 Saudis, 0 Iraqis.
Fighting for peace is like f...ing for virginity.
War is not a family value.
Who would Jesus bomb?
War begins with 'Dubya'.

And my favorite:
Frodo has failed, Bush has the ring.

This war is nothing more than a pathetic (and apparently successful) attempt to distract us from the fact that we couldn't find Bin Laden. We are attacking Iraq because they defied the UN, and now we are also defying the UN by attacking Iraq.
Make your own jokes. The world is a sadder place today.

In my opinion you are an even bigger fool "sitting" in your computer chair typing insults directed at another person "sitting around" in your words.

No one on this post really knows what the real Iraqi threat to the US, or the world, because that information is classified.

But consider this...
There have been no successful terrorist attacks on US soil since 9-11. The US policies and attack on the Taliban, Al-Qeida (sp?), etc. prevented this. Would there have been any support for military action against these terrorist networks on 9-10?

Right now terrorist attacks are limited in scope and range to small areas mainly because of low tech delivery methods and weapons. What would a terrorist attack be like if they could deliver 100's of weapons from 1000's of miles away. What if germ, chemical or nuclear weapons were used?

Think if the US had joined WWII in 1939 and Hitler had been defeated Dec 6, 1941. How many millions of lives would have been saved in France, Poland, etc. if Hitler had been stopped before invading Europe. The US stayed out of the war (probably because we were trading with both sides) until we were provoked. How many more lives would have been lost if the US had not entered into the war?

What if there had been a war the removed Stalin from power? He executed many more people than Hitler. Stalin remained in power until his death from natural causes. To bad there was not a "Security Council" or "Coalition" to force him out.

How many more people will die at the hands of Saddam Hussien? How many will be executed by him or by terrorists with access to better weapons?

The French, German and Russians have not proposed a solution even though they admit that the inspectors are not and can not effectively disarm Saddam.

Any sovereign nation has the right to defend itself against threats to it's own citizens. Terrorists and Saddam's weapons constitute a huge threat. I've got to go with GW's plan. He's made the right moves so far.

Like any true American patriot, I do my fair share of spreading French jokes these days ( http://www.98online.com/twisted/we_dont_li...like_france.mp3 ) but in the back of my mind I've got to give them a big for saving our butts in the American Revolution.

This is a very sad time in the history of the United States...............cheering is the furthest thing from my mind.............

I can see how a celebration like that can be misconstrued as Yaaay we get to go kill people kind of thing. You have to put yourself in there shoes to understand, they have been sitting in the desert for over six months without seeing their loved ones and as soon as they get this done they go home. Secondly it is a great honor to be called upon to serve your country.

Those of us who served in the late sixties have been in those shoes.............and I didn't cheer then and I won't now................and I remember a few from that time who never got the chance to cheer again...........

Everyone has to keep there heads in check here..

This thread has remained open, but please keep personal insults out of this debate.

I will personally keep my own thoughts regarding the war to myself.

That's fine you have your own opinion about that.

There have been other footage. Keep in mind too that we have a first amendment here, and over there the media is controlled by the government.
