This is nothing new guys......Louisiana and New Orleans has known about this for
40 years. The first computer generated model came out in the late 80s what
a cat 5 hurricane could do. Put the blame where you will. State, Federal and local
agencys have be aware of this since 1965 when Hurricane Betsy almost flooded
out New Orleans then, and it was only a Cat 3......

National Geographic October, 2004 had a similar story. Described it with detail, almost everything that is happening now. I agree it's been known for many years what would happen when they finally where hit by a large storm.
