people probably thought the syclone was stupid too (1 year of production), but they are actually pretty cool.... of course they have awd, but cannot carry any more than 500lbs.... basically a fast awd truck that acts like a car...only clunkier.

One of my friends built a Dodge Dakota with a Viper motor in it, I posted some pics a while back. He bought the motor and tranny from Dodge, it's one of the crate motor setups they sell. He was originally going to put it in a Ram but decided it was too heavy so he did some measuring and found that it would fit in the Dakota. It's a blast to ride in, it accellerates like mad and will smoke the tires for pretty much how ever long you want to.

As for those who don't see the point in something like this, there are just as many people who don't see any point in having a 2-seat roadster, either. I took my cousin's husband for a ride in my S2000 one time and his only comment was "it's small".

I think it's great that companies produce some 'off the wall' type vehicles now and again. It's not for me but good luck anybody who wants one.

That Dodge is going to be a pretty fast truck. Looks like the Loghtning is going to lose out. And to think, the Dodge is NA and not supercharged, like the lightning is.

Woah Tokyo, go easy on the Gov't regulation concept. Who's to say that a convertable with 240 HP, ring any bells (?), should be legal? Not too fuel efficient. Not too safe. All you really need for transport is a 100 cc motor, right?

Private business should definitely have THE RIGHT to build nonsense vehicles. Let the market decide on its worthiness.
