Default Watch/Time Piece enthusiasts out there?

I'm looking for a watch around the $150-250 range. A watch I can wear everyday that is fairly durable, has good quality, etc.

I was thinking about a Citizen, but to be honest, I'm unfamiliar with the intricacies that go into a watch. I do have a watch for those very special occasions, but it's not a well known brand or any watch company you guys would think of. Just a priceless heirloom.

If anyone could help me out or recommend me a good watch brand (low-mid), I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

I'd get a Seiko, I've had one for 18 years, and it works better then my other watches that cost 10 times as much

Seiko is like Toyota or Honda, very reliable yet affordable. In my experience, Seiko is more reliable than Citizen.

There are no other recommendations. If you're looking for a watch that's affordable, reliable, durable, daily wearable, etc., Seiko is the only way to go.

Bulova. Excellent designs...great name and reliability.

ESQ is also good and you get Swiss movement.

Coach has some watches in that price range.

Tissot

Don't think anything else is even close

You get a scratch proof crystal, a REAL Swiss movement, and very fine quality. I mean it's owned by Swatch who also make Omega, Longines, and Rado. That should speak for itself.

another vote for Seiko. For that price (250) you should be able to get a nice chronograph.

Yeah, but none of them could equal the reliability of a Seiko, much like when Mercedes is compared with a Toyota or Honda. Sure, it may have a fancy name and all, but is not merely as reliable, which he says he's looking for.
