The WATER powered car?

I remember years ago seeing a similar story about a guy who was running a mid eighties Chrysler Lebaron 2.2 turbo on what he claimed was just pure water. He claimed he could convert the engine to run on water and it would go all day but the byproducts of combustion were very corrosive and that his engine idea would, at the time, last about 30,000 miles and need an overhaul but he was working on that.
Don't know if that guy was a snake oil salesman, why the combustion was so corrosive, or what happened to him.
This one looks a little more credible.
