Default We have Iraq but where is the gas?

I have observed just in about 1 month the gas has went up about $0.25. It may not seem much but this is only supposed to be only a start. Imagine what happen when it reach it peak during the summer. The oil company last year already tested us and we failed and we are going to get the price gouge again. But what can we do we need to get to where we need to go and we will pay for whatever price they ask. We have Iraq and we are suppose to get about 25% of our oil from there or at least I read that from somewhere. Time to get a mega beater like a civic or a hybrid. Thanx for reading or whatever.

gas prices are still too low anyway... from the standpoint that you still see TONS of people willing to pay out big $$ when they drive around their super uber SUV's and V8 and V10 cars that get less than 20 mpg.

We need more people like you willing to drive the alternative energy vehicles

How much does gasoline cost in the US?

Because here in Sweden it costs:
(Converted from Litres to gallon, and with current currency exchage value)
____________
$5,02 / Gallon
____________

So think about that before you think it

around the bay area... where gas is likely on the expensive side... you'll find Super (91 Octane) for about $2.20

Sorry, forgot to mention that the price was for our 95 octane.
Which should be similar to 93 octane according to US standards.

Personally, I would like to see gas prices normalize around $3.00-$3.50/gallon.

As for the rumor that we would be getting 25% of the oil from Iraq...that was merely a rumor.

The first issue is that the infrastructure was in worse condition than expected either because of our bombing or sabotage by the retreating Iraqi army or terrorist groups.

The second issue is that they money from the sale of Iraqi oil is supposed to go towards defraying the cost of reconstruction and paying off some of their debts...and we aren't the highest on the list of countries that they owe money to.

Yes, gas prices are up. But as EvolutioN_Swe have pointed out, we are still doing a LOT better than our European mates. They seem to have gotten the shorter end of the deal when it comes to getting gas.

Don't tell me about other countries because most of it is taxes. They choose to have a higher standard of living with health insurance for everyone and low poverty. The government help a lot and compare to America it makes you wonder why they don't charge more for everything. But there income rate is probably higher to correlate with it. Gas prices are not supposed to go up till summer so I hate to see how much is it then. I say we will get near the 3 dollar mark kinda suck but minus well get race gas from Sun Co or Cool blue.
