Default Wearing braces as an adult

I'm 20 years old and have never worn braces as a child. My teeth are fairly crooked and I would like to get them "fixed". I don't want to wear regular braces for 2-3 years, so I'm interested in some other alternatives. Does anyone have experience with those "invisible" braces? How much do they end up costing?

All I know is they are expensive, but I'm not sure who makes a good candidate to wear them. Contact a dentist that does it and make a consultation. It's usually a free or low-cost appt.

My co-worker had porcelain veneers put in and she had crooked teeth. Now they don't look too bad at all.

I'm mutant. . . REALLY!* If I hadn't been diagnosed earlier, I'd have the braces now, and in the long run, am glad I did (and would happily do it again).

My fianse had braces put on just a few months ago, and she is 22. Her teeth weren't that bad, but she wantd them, and she actually likes them. She enjoys having the color changed every time she gets them adjusted then makes me guess the color and shows me. She's a little goofy.

It might not take 2-3 years.

But straight teeth are better then freaky teeth. I had braces at 18. I tend to notice horrible teeth.

Teenagers give a f... about being socially accepted. Personally get them and don't think twice about them.

If you get it done now, you'll have plenty of years of solid smiles.

Plus, if it is just a matter of your teeth being crooked, it could only be 18 months with the braces, then the retainer at night for a stretch after.

At the very least, go get a consultation with an Orthodontist.
