Web Hosting - Anyone heard of....
...FeaturePrice.com?
Just hoping to hear some positive opinions about this particular hosting service. It got rated #1 in some 10-Best thing (Google: "10 best hosting"), but I don't see anything in epinions about it. The 10-Best article says some really great stuff about it, including their customer service, so I'm giving it a try.
I almost went with Infinology.com before I found some totally horrible reviews on epinions.com. 9GB STORAGE for $8/mo, I knew it was too good to be true! FeaturePrice offers 5GB at $16/mo which is still AMAZING; it is so far and above every other web hosting service I've seen.

I simply cannot accept most of the other hosting services simply because they don't over over 2GB of storage (for a decent price), which is a priority for me.
I'll post first-hand impressions later on.

PLUS, I found this:

Looks like FeaturePrice is in deep doo doo for shady stuff. Sigh. I'm really going to be pissed if increasing size of disk storage offered = decreasing quality of service.
Man, a lot of crap talking about FeaturePrice (and other bad hosting services FYI!) on this forum here:

Especially interesting is how a FeaturePrice employee likes to jump in and pretend like a satisfied customer. Also rumors that FeaturePrice listed the 10-Best listing that I looked at to begin with!

I just knew I should have done even more research than I have -- I was so happy to find something other than Infinology (a bad apple too, that offers 9GB of storage!), that I just assumed the 10-Best list so prominently displayed at the top of Google's search results was all true.
Unfortunately, their 30-day guarantee says something to the effect that I can only get a refund if there's a serious technical problem or that the website claims to offer a service that they do not -- which seems to rule out "I want to cancel because of crappy download rates" because they don't specifically state that they are fast (but the 10-Best list does!).
Fortunately, there's a hefty customer testimonial page on their website, many of which state that the download speeds are the fastest ever, etc.
Unfortunately, from what I see from rumors/threads/discussions, I probably won't get my money back except from some kind of legal settlement.
BAH.
