Default web page authoring question.

stupid question...

how do you make it so that when you search your site using
google or msn.com or someting,
it would show up on the top?

say somebody typed in "seung" in the search bar,
instead of all those jazz coming out,
how do you make it so that the first thing they would see is,
"www.seung.net"?

anyone?

1a-race has it figured. my personal site for my previous car (RSX) seems to turn up in the top 10 for just about any searches related to the RSX... and its all because of the meta tags.

It's going to take a long long time. Try to link up your site with other sites that are already on web engines. This will speed up getting your site included. If you do it by yourself, look at a 3 to 9 month timeframe.

Also check out robots.txt, this will give web engines instructions on what to search/not to search. If some don't find it, it will just ignore your site all together.
