Check out Bluenile.com

That's where we got our bands and they were a lot cheaper than the local places for the same stuff.

so far e-weddingbands.com is the best looking out there. Blue Nile is a bit overpriced and I really don't see any improvement in quality, especially since we are getting relatively plain flat comfort fit bands.

Yes, since her engagement ring is platinum her wedding band will be also. But I'm pretty sure i'm going to go with palladium for mine.

white gold is usually flashed with iridium <--sp sux and that WILL wear off (quickly sometimes depending on your PH level when you sweat). I started off with a wgold band with diamonds (yes guys can rock diamonds too) and in less than a year the iridium was wearing off and the ring turned a funky yellow color. I had to upgrade to a platinum version of my band and now I could not happier.

Just bite the bullet and go platinum its more expensive but less headaches IMHO.

good luck

A lot of fellas go titanium or stainless for their bands too and with some online searching you can get some kick-ass settings and styles. Dont limit yourself....can save a but-load of $$$ going this route as well.

White gold if you must, tin if you can. I have been married two months as of today and have almost lost the thing twice already. It came off once raking the leaves and I had to find it out on the lawn. I have a feeling I may go through a few of them over the years.

Well, 14 and 18 k white gold is supposed to be greyish, not yellow - that's how you can tell whats a quality alloy and what's cheap, or so I was told. White gold should be gold mixed with silver, palladium, or nickel, not less white metals like copper that require rhodium to cover them up, even though quality white gold can be plated to add sheen.

I had my ring machined out of military surplus Titanium. Nowadays you can buy off the shelf Ti rings, and they're much less expensive than Platinum.

The ring on the left is platinum and the one on the right is white gold circa 1920s. She wears one on the left hand and one on the right. They would look odd together on the same finger.

If she has a platinum engagement ring, you must get her a platinum wedding band. End of story.

You are you a different story. You can get whatever you like. Bluenile or amazon.com and you can't go wrong.

I'm going stainless steel...really.
