This is prolly the best idea i would do for g/f or mom. Get empty box that looks like a box that you would give jewelry in, wrap it up (knowing its empty). Give it to your love one, when they open it up they are surprised by the empty box, you say "The gift is in my heart and lies there 365 days instead of just one" Worked for me, should work too, make sure you have a card too.

But....I want something from Macy's....

Last year I got my mom a calender that had pictures of me and my siblings for each month of the year. I want some suggestions down that road. Something......simple yet....cool!

Okie my mom owns a nail salon, which for girls i know they would love a manicure or pedicure with facials and other good stuff. So get your mom a gift certificate for a great nail/spa salong.

Good luck on the gift ideas, Moms can be tough. From my perspective I have had good luck with gold jewelry like earrings or a necklace. I have also done well with kitchen utensils that she would like but would never spend the money on. I have also done cookbooks and nature books but that is because she really likes both.

This year I went over the top. A complete set of four 225/60-16 Dunlop Graspic DS-1 snow tires mounted on steel wheels for her Subaru Outback. Damn I'm a good son! And holy s**t does that scooby ever pull through the snow now!!!
