what to do in Maui?
..besides sit on my ass in the sun and drink
I`ll be there in a few days and was just wondering if there is anything I need to do or see while I`m there.
Regards,
Ryan

Go visit Lahaina and the road to Hana.
I ain't tellin' you where I go because the beauty of it is that virtually no one knows about it but my family and the locals. But if you like to walk around outside and shop (and get offered lots of maui-wowi), Lahaina is fun. If you like to golf, Wailea is fun. BUT THE ONE THING I HAVE TO RECOMMEND is Roy's. It is an AWESOME restaurant. There are two on the island. One is 10 minutes north of Lahaina on the way to Kapalua. The other is in Wailea Makena. If you ask the concierge at the hotel, they will know what you are talking about. Roy has restaurants all over the islands, in Monterey, in SF and in LA. It is one of if not my absolute favorite places to eat. GREAT FOOD!

Sailboard, sailboard, sailboard! If you don't know how go get a lesson. Try the beach near the airport (around the corner from Hookipa) Later you can do rentals in the surf or in the trades on the other end of the island near Lahaina. By the way, Lahaina means merciless sun. It's hot.
Try snorkling in Molokini crater or wading in fresh water streams at Iao Needle. Black volcanic beaches and Little Beach are certainly interesting.
