You never heard on any protestors at the DNC doing such things. And if the RNC deligates were to throw urine on them, it would cause an uproar in the liberal press. There is such a double standard for liberal protestors, and it really makes me sick. Instead of having crazy protests, why didn't they go to the DNC and show their party positive support.
Don't get me wrong, I lean a little more to the right than I do left. I am a former lefty though, volunteered for Jesse Jackson in 1988 when I was younger and a little more gullible. But my point was not to accuse a lefty protestor over a righty. Some righty anti-abortion folks might go as far as to dump fake blood or cow blood all over somebody at a protest, I am not for that either.

My feeling is if you want to carry a bunch of signs and peacefully march down the street for whatever cause and sing songs, and chant something constructive. Fine with me, but I will generally not pay any attention anywho. It is trying to force ones opion or views by force, threats whatever. Punching, kicking, shouting obscenities, dumping blood or urine. It is just dumb and pointless. Show up and make your statement in an acceptable way, but let people drive down the street if they need to get to work, or delegates go to dinner without getting crapped on. Makes 'em look like a bunch of retards, achieves absolutely nothing, and this is the most important point, WINS ZERO CONVERTS to their way of thinking. Nobody ever says, "Gee I reall liked George Bush until that guy told me to F myself and dumped his urine on me, now my eyes have been opened!!!!"

Then that would be not voting at all...an informed vote that is.

Out of 290 million people in this country competent enough to be President our only two choices are blue bloods that attended Yale and were miraculously "tapped" to be one of the 15 they choose each year to be Skull and Bones?

No...this isn't setup. Either way we vote we still lose.
I would disagree here. Every presidential election my ballot has about ten names for president. (It varies by state given the requirements to get on the ballot)

But besides the dem and republican, you got Nader, you got somebody from the greens, the socialist workers party, Lenora Felany (spelling?), sometimes LaRouche when he is not in jail. I have got plenty of people to choose from, but only 2 have a real shot at winning.

And if I choose to vote for Senator Kerry or President Bush does not make me uninformed. You presume that I would not have at least unerstood what the others stand for. I do and just disagree with them. There is nothing uninformed about it.

Not trying to jump on you Honda, and I am a firm believer that far to many of the voting electorate are sheep who only pay attention a couple weeks every four years, but that is not to say people in the booth who vote for the major parties have not thought it through. I never agree with a candidate 100% of the time. People rarely do, but you can only pick who you think agrees with your way of thinking more often than the others.

I agree with you about doing a peaceful protest. I think it is healthy, and I'm glad we have the right to do so. What I don't like is the militant and aggressive attitude shown in NYC this week.

I was also comparing the 2 sets of protests we have had this year. One at the RNC and the other at the DNC. One was very calm, and received no press, while the other is loud and out of control!!

Don't forget about laying in the middle of traffic. Nothing makes me rethink my political ideals like someone keeping me from where I want to go!! Idiots!!

Please point to a time I have EVER said that I support George W. Bush in all that he and his administration does. Please do that. Do it now.

Also, if you know anything about the science used by either side of the "environmental" argument, you'd take a much more realistic view of the issue.

edited for clarification of which issue I was referring.

That's the motivation behind the stunts vader! If they dont appeal to the viewing public then their protests will go virtually unnoticed and media coverage increases the chance of people paying attention (not always a good thing vvvv).

I don't hate period and I don't dislike America in the slightest. It is one of the greatest countries in the world for a multitude of reasons but it is surely not the "most free" place to live and certainly not "the best".

What I do dislike about America are neo-con's like yourself that have forgotten what America is about and what it was founded on all the while allowing your views to be formed, shaped, and manipulated for you on a daily basis by the "liberal"(yeah right) establishment media that you and your kind love so much.

Basically I can't stand people that can't think and form conclusions for themselves.
