Most people in my neck of the woods call all soft drinks "coke," even if it's Pepsi.

"soda" here in california, but as a kid in the midwest, i used to hear it referred to as "pop" or "soda pop"

Grew up in Western NY where it is called pop. Up here in Northeastern NY it is Soda.

Minnesota, I grew up calling it "soda" since my dad is from the east coast, but "pop" has taken over in my vocab.

I call it either Soda or Coke.... but definetly not Pop!

In Ireland it was always "minerals".

I don't know where that came from. I remember when I first came to the US someone asked me if I'd like a soda, and I wondered why the hell they were offering me a baking product, as all I could think of was baking soda.

Sure I was! I just don't have a map that has the stats for the whole world.

We should start a poll on alternative names for veg-a-mite! I can think of a couple of descriptive names...
