hi, i am new here~ and want to seek some of you guys' advices:

i am driving a 02 Jag. X-Type 3.0 right now, the value of the car dropped so much, and i want to change car, here are some of the options:

1) trade in for 2001 S2k w/ 17000km and have to pay more money (since the Jag. 's value dropped so much)

2) trade in for 1998 M-Roadster w/ under 70000km but don't have to pay any $$ w/ extended warrenty of 3 yrs.

3) stay w/ the Jag. which its value has dropped 50% in less than a yr. and continue driving it.

Did you buy the car with value depreciation in mind? You should just stay with what you got and enjoy it. I think those Jags are nice looking cars.

 

NO, i wanted to try something else. Don't want to drive a Sedan. Don't need all those back seats and extra 2 doors. I was expecting a drop in value of the Jag, but not as much as i was expecting. (from $71k cdn to $38k cdn)
i know in common ppl would choose #3. (stay w. the Jag.) but i dunno i think i should stay w/ the jag. but.....

 

Don't get a s2000 if you just want it for "value"

Get it because you actually love the car! I know I would

 

If you gonna trade it in for the S2000, get the 02 or 03 with glass rear window.

 

i like the car, especially the interior design, the igintion button, and it's convertible~

the problem is, should i get it or should it stick w/ the Jag. which i dun really like, and save some money

 

the problem is, the jag.'s value has dropped so low (50%), i have to pay another $10k for the new ones. which i dun want to spend anymore $$, since i bought this freakin X-Type which dropped 50% of it's value in less than a yr old.

 

Why did it drop down so badly?
