Default What does it mean when your buddy "sets you up"

Here's my situation. I suck when it comes to girls. I guess I just don't have any self-confidence because I've been turned down one too many times. There is this girl who I work with, who I find kind of cute. Recently, I've been finding myself talking to her more and more when I'm at work, but it's just casual conversation.

Tonight I was talking with another co-worker who is a bit older, and he said that he would "set me up with her". I didn't know what to say, so I said fine. He said he needed 2 days. So what exactly does this mean? What will he do and what am I supposed to do? Just so we're clear, I'm not interested in a one night stand type of deal, I'm interested in a relationship, but nothing serious.

yea, and pretend to have confidence. Act like you don't care too much.

Unfortunately it's hard. You actually have to stop caring.

Dating coworkers is dangerous man.

Don't sh!t where you eat man.

If you do go out with her, then she breaks your heart (or you break hers), and you have to look at her ass everyday...you will have an extremely high level of stress at work. Especially if she breaks your heart and has the nerve to talk / act in a way that she's kind of rubbing it in.

I sound bitter huh? It kinda happened to me, and man it sucked so bad...
