it just means he's going to find a way for you to spend time with her. He arranges a situation where you are paired up with her, such as bowling with a group of friends. It's less of a date and more of an opportunity to see each other socially with no pressure.

Dating coworkers is dangerous man.

Don't sh!t where you eat man.

If you do go out with her, then she breaks your heart (or you break hers), and you have to look at her ass everyday...you will have an extremely high level of stress at work. Especially if she breaks your heart and has the nerve to talk / act in a way that she's kind of rubbing it in.

I sound bitter huh? It kinda happened to me, and man it sucked so bad...
We're both leaving the company very soon. That's why I need to make something happen fairly short. I don't think this will be an issue.

Play it cool and calm. . . and then after IDB, make sure you get her to take you to a party, then get more digits.

I used to be a real idiot when it came to women. Women loved talking to me. . . but it was all talk.

The only thing I started changing was acting like:

1. I had just gotten a BJ.

AND

2. I was going to go get a BJ.

It just adds a swagger to your step and a grin on your face that the womens can't get enough of.

It means he's going to talk you up and then let her know you are interested.

Here are the rules to follow henceforth:

Rule 1 of the Tao of Steve:
Eliminate your desires. If you're out with a girl and you're thinking about getting laid, you're finished. A woman can smell an agenda.

Rule 2 of the Tao of Steve:
You have to do something excellent in her presence, therefore proving your sexual worthiness.

Rule 3 of the Tao of Steve:
After you eliminate desire, and after you've proved your excellence, you must retreat.

Watch the movie The Tao of Steve for more info.

no it doesn't. That would be "I'm going to talk you up because I'm at least partially gay and don't really know how these things work between men and women." When someone sets you up with a girl, it is a social activity with other people, like a double date without the date part. Occasionally it is a "date" date, but that would be a "blind date" for at least one party.

I talked to the guy today just a little bit, and that's pretty much what he has in mind. Keep in mind that I haven't hung out with this guy outside of work, so it's not like he would invite both of us to the same event.
