What does MY00 mean...

I feel dumb for asking this but I've never really understood what it means.

Quote for an example;

"the years MY00-MY05 came that way"

"this is my MY05"

I know what the number is but just cant figure out the "MY" part or why it wouldn't just be easier to say it another way

thank you. that makes sense, although it seems people use it in a weird redundent way a lot.

Yup. I never got why people always use it on here though lol. Just say 01 or 02 etc.
