Default What is this drill bit?

Hey all

I bought a little kit with a bunch of bits and screwdriver heads for my drill, but I can't figure out for the life of me what this one is. A couple of cell phone pics to help anyone who might be able to tell me what it's for:

OHHHH You just got me thinking, it's for screwing in things that have an eyelet on the end!!! It's got a channel on the inside of the V to fit over a hook or something with a ? or O shaped head!

YAY Thank you, it was driving me nuts. All that hex bolt talk got me thinking outside the box.

It'll be a sad day when someone needs a power drill to screw on a wingnut.

"Hmmm, looks like I need to screw on a wingnut here. Now, where'd I put my drill?"

[Strolls over to the garage, rummages about for a bit, and returns with a power drill.]

"Oh, shoot! The cord doesn't reach. I gotta get the extension."

[Strolls back to the garage, rummages about a bit more, finds the extension cord, plugs it in, strolls back outside, plugs in the drill.]

"Darn it! Forgot the 'wingnut adapter'."

[Strolls back to the garage, rummages about some more, returns with the wingnut adapter.]

"OK, here's the wingnut adapter. I'll just put that in and . . . curses! . . . I need the chuck key!"

[More strolling, more rummaging, more returning, some tightening, and . . .]

"Aaarrrggghhh! I need a big wingnut adapter!"

[Drives to Home Depot . . . .]

Might be a tamper-proof bolt adapter.

Like how road signs and other things use certain screws so MOST people won't have the right bit to take it off...
