The possibilities that lie ahead of me just beyond the horizon. The will to resist societies mindless drone like existence. If the day ever comes that I realize that I am just another person in a random job, living in a random place, doing mundane average things with my boring life I will know that all hope is lost. The dream will have died and I will follow it.

emotionally im here to fit in, belong, and be needed.
spiritually i'm here to help whoever i can live a better existance, which helps me as well.
mentally i'm here to make money and buy goodies.
altogether i'm here because i like human existance.

I started this thread since I wanted to hear out other people's opinions and thoughts. As for myself, I already have the answers figured out. I just want people to think about life more and what their purpose is, I don't want the standard "I live since I breath" answer since that's a simple and unthoughtful response. I live to succeed where many people have failed, I want to be able to raise my kids the right way, without any of the unnecessary BS and problems that many families have. I have seen so many families around me whether related by blood or friendship unnecessarily damaged by the actions of the parents, who are incapable of being fit to be parents. To raise a child in the world today is a damn privilege and honor, many people tend to forget this unfortunately. So if you want to be a parent, make sure you have your Life together and be able to provide properly for your child. So that you can teach the proper values and beliefs as well as provide him/her with a home and a supporting family. I wish to keep my friends and those dear to me close, to enjoy life and the simple pleasures that can be found everyday. To me sharing experiences and creating good memories is one of my main goals in life. I am far from perfect and realize that I am still walking down the path of life trying to improve myself and mold myself into someone that can be something great. I just want to be able to live life with as much happiness as I can create since I believe if you stand by those you care and strive towards your goal, than you should be content with your life.

if you live for your wife, than honestly, what would you say your wife lives for...
and if the obvious answer is true, than why aren't things working out better in the world such as the raising of children and families. Ntilt is absolutely right. we are the richest and most powerful nation; a nation who is in denial and dysfunction everywhere. we're like dumb geniuses: born well off, complete disasters at evrything else. To learn how to be a good parent also means that one is studying the art of happiness manipulation. that would be the most worthwhile task i can conjure. in any case, we might all talk and talk, but the true results are apparent evrywhere we look. so after you talk about what you live for, make sure you're doing a good job at it...
