Guns are for pvssies who can't fight. I'm also not French so calling 911 if someone broke into my house would happen. I would rather crush someone's Adam Apple with my bare hand than shoot the bastard who tried to break into the house. More satisfying that way. I would rather watch him choke on his own blood, than spill his blood all over my slate floors from a hole made by my Smith & Wesson 500.

That said, as a hunter and a living here in the Peoples Republik of Kalifornia we have the biggest bunch of gun haters so to plss them off my collection of firearms is huge. I want my little boys to enjoy the fun of shooting so I buy everything in three's.

Of course if someone did manage to first get into my neighborhood (hard deal), then open the property gates, get past my security, camera system (my buddy owns a high end security company I have really cool stuff) I would guess they would be armed so I would not mind ending their lives. The family knows what to do in case of fire or intruders and our sons trust me or my wife to answer any intrusion with enough firepower to make the news nation wide

Yup I have issues, welcome to Kalifornia now leave.

What was I supposed to do, call the cops and tell them some guy robbed me, but I can't tell them who it was or where he is? By the time the cops could come, the guy would be long gone, and I would just be wasting my time and the cops, over a few bucks.

My father owns a few insurance agencies. I'm familiar with the kinds of things that really threaten people's happiness, and petty crime isn't it. Before you tell me my head in in the sand, go see a bit more of the world. Looking at the world from one viewpoint is a recipe for ignorance. And seeing it from the viewpoiint of a "security company" is definitely only one point of view. You are in far more danger of your house burning down or getting in a car accident than of getting robbed. Hopefully you've thought of protecting your family from those events as much as you pretend you are "protecting" them from being raped in their sleep.

I'm not oblivious, I'm realistic.
No you grow up, yes you are supposed to call the cops, it doesn't matter if he'd be a long time gone. Even over a few bucks, your actions are irresponsible.

Clueless...

You are not realistic, I've actually worked on a womans house that was raped, you have no clue what you're talking about.

never woulda guessed
Lotta assholes are trolls that come by and hijack a thread because of there ignorance, intolerance and inability to follow forum rules and take it to the politics forum even after being repetitivly requested to do so then have the balls to call us short tempered and assholes? Never would've guessed, a lot of clueless wonders.

Lets STFU and let this thread die.

I got an email today from my brother with pictures of his Christmas present to me, a Glock 19. I've debated buying one for years (he's got 3 I believe...he's an instructor at Scottsdale Gun Club as well as photographer for them) but never got around to it.

Unfortunately I'm living in Hawaii for the winter so I won't actually get it until I move back to AZ in April.

As far as the 19/24 debate...I've always liked 19's. I like the fit, the feel, and I'm a fan of 9. Hope it helps.

confessing I don't own any.. wouldn't mind having one, but don't really have the need or time to spend with it.. and I definately have nothing against owning one.. or carrying one.. I think the one reason I never got around to getting one is that I was afraid that I would get pissed at someone and get out of control and shoot their a$$ ..

I do have a shotgun.. I suppose if someone were to break into my place when I was here, I'd either shoot their a$$ .. or knife them.. I really don't have time to goof with this weapon stuff tho..

I've always lived in places where I don't have to worry about needing one, lucky I guess.. but I know that anything can happen

but.. I've thought about getting a 44 magnum just for the heck of it.. I'm not a bad shot either..
