why do you think it looks fake? The last picture looks pretty convincing with the lil hairs and shiney skin. Blah!

I vote real and there are bigger than that out there. Ever seen an african bird-eating spider...try two pounds and a leg legth diameter of almost 2 feet.

That is a freaky place to spin a web though out in plain view.

Thats an Argiope. I used to catch them as a kid. the zig zag in the web and the color gives them away.
