What idiots!
The guys at CamaroZ28.com are now starting to brag about their Camaros too much. One guy said he killed a Honda S2000 by 8-9 car lengths at 110 mph. And then I respond saying crap, trying to support the Import cars and the S. Because you know those guys will diss anything that isn't American.

Just a quick note about the Camaro SS in the recent Road and Track it did turn a faster lap time than the S2000...by one sec...so the car is fast and in the right hands a force to be reckoned with....
But I still want a blue S2000...

I think both cars would preform well with a qualified driver, but who wants a car that needs so much maintenance. The doors sag and the hinges have to be tightened or replaced. The seals tend to leak. The paint fades. Shall I go on...

Forget about the Camaro owners. You can't reason with ignorance. I took my S2000 to a track and line dup against a Camaro z28 LT1 (93 - 97) and at the end of the 1/4 mile I had beaten him by 2 car lengths. I was stock and his only mod was a modified exhaust. It pissed the guy off cause he was talking crap to me and the S2000 before we lined up and afterward he didn't talk to me the rest of the day. What a sore looser. Anyway, I beat that Z28 and made me happy and realize that the S2000 is not an under achiever.
So what Road and Track said an SS beat us???? It all depends on track conditions, temperature, did the track have turns or mostly straights...You can design a test to make it have the outcomes your looking for. I know my S2000 is a great performer and I know what the truth is about the S2000 and the Z28 in handling in performance.
In most circumstances the Z28 LS1 will beat us in the 1/4, and we'll beat the LT1. And in the twisties we win every time.

I didn't know the hinges had to be tightened on a Z28? I didn't think fiberglass weighed so much
