About a year back I was doing some gtech acceleration testing on a local back road. It's summer here at this time of year so the roof was off, I was parked on the side of the road at night setting up the gtech stuck on the windscreen (shield) just below the mirror with its little red lights flashing. Just about every car that passed saw the red lights, figured it was some form of sped detection device and slowed down.

Once they were past and were far enough ahead I'd let rip another 7000rpm clutch drop for a quick 0-100kmh time and often as not they would pull up over to the side and wait for me to ticket them.

Great fun but I didn't hang around too long as I figured an irate driver would probably call up the local constabulary and tell them some maniac was doing acceleration tests in the next suburb.

Mark-

Actually, I was thinking about painting the doors of my black S2K white, so it would look like a police car.

LOL, that would be cool. You'd have one of the fastest polic cars around.

Hey! I was telling a friend about your idea and thought I would revive this. You ever gonna do it?

Last summer I volunteered at a local tri-athalon. My job was to ride in the lead Sheriff's cruiser. When I was getting my stuff out of my S2000, the Deputy commented too bad we could not take my car. I said "Yeah, then we could run sirens and lights and see how fast it could really go." He busted a gut laughing.
