In all seriousness, this plane is probably the largest contributor to my becoming an aerospace engineer. The technology embodied by the Blackbird never ceases to blow me away (also the reason I love F-1 racing)...fastest air-breathing vehicle every built, grew more than a foot in length due to heat-induced creep while in flight, temps in the cockpit could be used to bake a cake, skin made entirely of titanium, the list goes on and on. And it was designed and built in the 60's , before computers were in use and is still the fastest plane ever built (that the govt. is telling us about). Wowzers.

So there you have it...a peek into the twisted psyche of Tedow .

What/who inspires you?

That aircraft -- it always has. I once say it make a low pass over Edwards at Mach 2+. Blew me away.

And the plans for building it were destroyed.

This is a cool question. I've never been "inspired" by anything. I have many interests. But, nothing like the "inspire" you describe.

What's the difference then between inspiration and fantasy?

jprivera: I don't want to waste time on this; however, having followed your posts for some time, you need to seek some medical (read: psychological) attention. Personally, I am inspired by John Walsh (America's Most Wanted). His unwavering focus, perseverence, and dedication to public good deserves respect and, indeed, does inspire.
