I'm with Travellers though AAA. I was barely 23 when I bought the S, and they got me a fantastic rate as a "pleasure vehicle".

I was hit (in my Jeep) by a lady with Nationwide, and their claims service was spectacular. If I ever switch, I'll go to them just because of how well they treated me even though I was not even their client.

and along those lines, I'll echo what some people have already said, you get what you pay for with insurance. The service from Travellers was less than helpful even though I was not at fault. Geico has a terrible reputation for claims service. It's sometimes more expensive to go though a local agent, but they'll fight for your interests if you have a claim. If you go direct, you save money, but you don't get that assistance with claims service.

Progressive im only 23 with a clean record and they give me a pretty good rate. Can't wait for the price drop at 25!

USAA comes recommended.

I'm a happy State Farm customer. Went to bat for me when I got sued for $2.8M.

I think it's really a matter of who your agent is.

Liberty Mutual, but you sound like you're going to have to bend over no matter who you take it from (young & point). I cross-shop every couple of years, and whenever I get a new ride, but LM has a loyalty discount that is extreme. I last got quotes 50% higher from Geico and Progressive!

I like USAA because they are not a money-grubbing bunch of bastards. They are a member orgainization. If they make money, it either is reinvested or distributed to members.

Oh, and to get USAA you have to be the child or spouse of a member, or be in the military.
