What kind of .45 should I get (Part II)?
Heh heh...I remember asking which .45 persons recommended on this board last year...and the thread got locked:
What kind of .45 should I get (Part I)?
Well, it's a year later...and I finally picked up a 1911 Loaded Operator from Springfield Armory. I like it a whole lot; except for the sorry ass factory magazines.

I'm very happy with my two Kimbers - Custom Target series I and a Custom Eclipse. Both are accurate and haven't had problems except for the loose fitting extractors that I tuned. Here's a picture:
HK USP Tactial .45 Auto. The recoil is like a heavy sliding 9mm becasue of the recoil reduction system. High profile sights for an attached sound or flash suppressor. Match trigger with trigger stop. Cold hammer forged polygonal bore barrel with o-ring. 10 rnd double stack. All metal parts treated so that won't rust even in salt water. Makes me do this~~~~~>

cloudnine & ltweintz,
Yes...I was initially shopping for a USP Tactial.
I got turned away from it after not being able to find it at the last gunshow and being quoted an internet price of $950.00 + shipping + ffl charges.
So, instead I decided to buy a 1911 and modify it.
I will search for a USP Tactical in the future.
