Some people buy $1500 jeans and like it. I got an iPhone. Other's get watches, fountain pens, diamonds, Porsches... So what do you buy that costs more than its intrinsic worth?

I've spent good money on things at times, but I don't think anything I've ever purchased can be considered "baller..."

 

For me it'd be camera equipment. Granted, I'm not even baller status on it, but right now I've got about $3500 in eq and probably going to drop another $5k in the next three or four months between a couple new bodies and a longer long lens. Granted, I'll end up making roughly half that back using the equipment, but otherwise I'm a simple pleasures kinda guy. When I'm footin' the bill at least.

Being a college student, what is overpriced may be nothing at all everybody else I do enjoy some good beers (10-15 bucks for a 4-6 pack) compared to the pond water Keystone, Coors and Beast that are "staples" here. Killed me when i heard a frat guy get asked "what is your favorite beer?" and his response was "Coors Light"

 

i buy lots of stupid beverages.
teas, juices, etc from organic stores. sometimes 4-5 bucks a drink
not overpriced compared to "going out" but when u can grab a 1 dollar soda it is.

 

wait , wait,.....i just remember i bought a pair of limited edition old skool vans for 180 dollars,....too me, thats crazy.

 

i was pretty frugal while i was in college. now that i got a well paying job and its inherent that i dress well for it, i'll buy a pair of $500 dress shoes once in a while.

 

women are the most expensive thing I spend $ on.
only some of the time I'm happy about it.

the next most expensive thing is bicycles.

 

Bottled Water, it's not really necessary but I pay for something that is free. =)

Computer Equipment, laptop, basketball cards
