most absurd: beer, I'm fine paying $10 for a six pack of something good over $1.75 for a 40oz. I mean granted one tastes much better, but in the end they both get you to the same destination.

what too much of my money goes to: mountain biking, I just picked up a used mountain bike for $1200 (which was a steal), bought $125 pedals for it, crashed a couple weeks later and had to but a $100 rim/$90 for spokes and install/ and $50 for brake levers. Not to mention the $75 shin pads, $200 upper body suit, $125 googles, $100 helmet, $40 gloves..... shit just thinking about it gets me depressed

I completely live above my means. When I joined my company I accepted the hit I was going to take, income-wise. I don't own anything upscale by average culture means, I don't think, but I have - wait had a sea doo, have a snowmobile (it's 2500 miles away because I moved and just can't sell it). I love having toys, almost bought a boat even though I don't have a dock or vehicle to tow it with besides the Durango my mom drives.

I'm a vehicle whore. Anything that's in motion I have to have. My snowboard I bought last year, the rollerblades I bought in June, my skis I bought 3 months ago, my Costco sled I bought last weekend (it's sweet).

My other guilty pleasure is going out and covering the bill for the people I like and care about. It's a stupid habit but I love having fun with people whether it's at dinner or out for drinks and the many thousands I've spent this year (completely voluntarily) to pay bills for anyone but myself is ridiculous. I am done with that. Nobody is using me for bar bill pay or anything I just enjoy giving gifts and those are small ones that make me happy to give.

"Overpriced" items? There's a rumor that CKit will donate $200 to a children's charity of my choice for my permanent leave.
