Thumbs up What sunglasses do you use?

What brand, style and color (of lenses) do you use when you are top down ? Will probably make my way out to the Sunglass Hut this weekend and try some out.

Even though I don't have them yet, get a pair that is polarized. This cuts down on the glare so it's easier on your eyes.

I go for all out style... Von Zipper's made Italy, aviator style but a bit more squarish, with a nice fade to them. Ladies love it

EDIT-- found a pic

Anything that is of decent quality that is polarized. They REALLY make a difference when driving.

for a rather inexpensive pair of polarized I'd go with Ray Bans. Usually 100-150
(I've also tried the $15 pair from target and walmart that are polarized, absolute crap)

I just bought a pair of those, but I dislike the length of the lenses, so I returned them. While they were incredibly comfortable, the lenses just didn't give me the full coverage of my eye that I wanted. I couldn't justify spending $275 on glasses I wasn't completely happy with, but if you have a smaller head than me they are amazing glasses. And incredibly light. Although the bending frames make it a bit awkard to place in the case.

My main glasses are Kapalua Titanium Sport Maui Jims with rose colored lenses. Lightweight, frameless (don't block the sun so you don't get racoon lines), high quality lenses, polarized, and a color that works good during the day and at dusk/dawn. The glasses are large enough that they cut light levels down to bearable levels, they are super light so you can wear them all day without your ears starting to hurt, and the optics are top notch.

I also have a pair of Serengettis with the standard glass, (and used to have a pair with the red glass) that I use when I travel. They have less coverage, but they travel well and are good for closed-car driving.

I also have a pair of Oakley Minutes with VR28 lenses for cycling - sit close to the face and don't slide off my nose.

(I got mine with black frames.)

Whatever you get, I recommend you get red or amber lenses - the light filtration in these glasses will give you sharper vision in more light conditions, making the glasses more useful.
