And it's a bloody good thing too because I just found my own mistake. You have to multiply all my numbers by 14. That's 14kW of real output power in the form of compressed air, about 42kW of electricity (56hp) and 3500 Amps (you would be stupid to run it all at 12V though) Still not beyond the realms of possibility (only sanity) but now I know why my WRX's turbo glows red hot after a hard run

I've read that the big turbo manufacturers are working on electric motors to spool them up faster or at idle. Not such a fanciful idea.

aaah. It actually catch on with people on this board. The originator of E-RAM, Kirsh (I think, it has been awhile ago). He claims several HP gain with the use of E-RAM on BMW Digest (before UUC Motorwerke ever exists). There are so many engineers on the board and basically through bunch of equations and actual practise case studies at him. From when I remembered, it never worked.

E-RAM (at the time) only has a 944 and MR2 (non-turbo) in his shop. He can not produce any dyno charts or have people from BMW Digest witness the dyno session.

In my oppion, I don't think this would ever work. To produce that kind of air flow at 9000RPM is just a little bit too much for any portable fan to handle.
