My sweetie pie's b-day is comin' up in 7 days. We're all guys (most of us anyways) and a good chunk of us are married: what do you usually get for the wife? Something for HER, ok? Vic's Secret is for US, not them.

Any suggestions?

Why not get her a nice mod/accessory for your stook, I'm sure she would appreciate it. Seriously, my wife always comes in and says, "Look what you bought for my birthday, don't you just love it!"

Rich,

A weekend get-a-way. . .in fact, take her on a long weekend get-a-way. If you want, I can plan it for you. . .how's the weekend of April 27-29th sound. In fact, just give me your credit card number, I'll have your rooms reserved, your S2K shipped, plane tickets confirmed, registration to the special event for your honey-baby (hehehehe), pre-bought souvenirs, and a little something for my troubles.

Agreed?? Just pm me the credit card info, include your soc. sec. number, drivers lisc. number, expiration date, and fax me over a copy of your signature.

Your wife will be so happy!!!

For real, jewelry always works. Presents of the heart ALWAYS work. . .especially if it's something that you made. . .and I'm not talking dead pedal or wind screen.

Here's an idea, try finding as many extra pictures of you two as you can find. They can be pics from when you guys weren't together, to when started dating, your marriage, etc. Now get a photograph book, so you can lay your pictures onto the pages.

Now here's the spin with this, take all the pics of each other when you guys hadn't started dating. Separate them according in two piles, one of you and one of her.

Now take the pics of you two when you first started dating. Again separate into two piles, this time take the perspective into account. If the pic centered around you (this includes pics taken by YOUR friends) or you took the pic, put them in "your" pile. If the pic was taken by her or has the perspective centered on her (pics taken by her friends), put them in "her" pile.

Now the last pile should be pics of you two together, sharing your interests together and so forth.

Arrange the pics (in a collage) in the book such that the beginning of the book is just pics of her, then the pics with you two together centered around her. The next should come the pictures of you two together, followed by the pile of pics that center around you. The last pile remaining is the pics of you. When put together, make sure that the pics aren't in uniformity (put some upside down, diagnoly, straight, etc). Also when you label both covers, label one the right side up, and the other cover, label it upside down. This way, whoever, picks up the book can't figure out what the beginning of the book is. In fact, you can symbolically show that the book has two beginnings that converge to the middle (which, BTW, has no end).

What do ya' think?

Sorry for the novel BTW.

how's this...

take her up to Santa Barbara to Bacara. she can do the spa thing all day while you enjoy some of the great backgrounds north of Santa Barbara and at night the two of you can enjoy the spa (you'll love soaking after a full day of twisties).

she'll NEVER forget it.

We don't do big birthday things...I usually get some flowers and a great dinner, get the kids to make some homemade birthday cards and just make her relax!

Guys, you are absolutely wonderful! Spa sounds great, but the Spas I know of are, ahem, usually for entertaining my Japanese, Chinese, and Korean clients if you get my drift. I don't know any legit Spas in the LA area.

SB sounds great, but unfortunately I don't have that much time...(that weekend I'm supposed to test the new X brace!)
