ya i bet your confused about millions knives arnt you? knives is Vash the Stamped's evil brother, knives wants to save the planet and keep it for himself, but just like the spider, the easiest way to save the planet is to kill the humans, which he initially planned on doing by programming the ships to crash land, but Rem foiled his plans and allowed several ships to land safely, so 130 yrs passe, during which knives has been training and healing and is trying to once again kill all the humans which is where trigun begins. and its not TV its on my Computer

you know what guys? after reading about your wishes, i still can't think of a good one to wish for.

some candidates:

- i would wish that all my descendants will be fluent in their ancestor's language(s) and their ancestor's culture(s). what can i say? i'm big on traditions.

- i would wish humans will have warp technology NOW so we can explore the stars. i feel that we humans are destined for the stars, lest we wish to croak on this tiny little planet we're destroying little by little on a daily basis (read Ishmael the book, you'll see what i mean).

- i would wish the US government would step up and admit that aliens from other planets do exist, and stop with all the cover ups.

I even thought i might try freezing myself so that i might wake up one day where it was possible. He's actually fairly correct. The pilots must be in top physical condition, as the planes put some extraordinary stresses on them, and must know how to not only fly but deal with myriad computer systems. The F-14 is the only operational fighter jet without some degree of fly-by-wire. Current jets have an avionics package that would put a 30 year old Navy ship to shame.

However, a "typical" modern 1 on 1 engagment could very likely end without the victorious pilot ever seeing the enemy plane, much less engaging and dog-fighting. The missiles do most of the "work" that a WWII era pilot did. Of course the one thing the computers can't do is take-off and land, and if you're on a carrier, that's half the battle

Obviously ground engagements such as those seen in Iraq are still very pilot dependant due to the people concerns - not wanting to kill innocent people.
